God gave Jeremiah the difficult task of preaching the Word of God to people who didn’t want to hear it. The message of coming judgment unless people wholeheartedly repented wasn’t popular and a lot of the time Jeremiah’s life was in danger - but God always sent someone to rescue him. Although many times Jeremiah felt discouraged and sad, he always obeyed God and developed an intimate friendship with the Lord bringing his problems to Him in prayer. As last days believers, our calling is similar and we need to pray continually.
